professional referrals
Holistic therapy grounded in science and compassion.
Holistically Humanâ„¢ works in partnership with GP surgeries, universities, healthcare providers, charities, and professional organisations who want to refer individuals to a trusted, evidence-informed service that supports genuine, long-term wellbeing. Our therapeutic provision is delivered by a team of qualified, experienced counsellors and therapists who understand the intrinsic link between mind and body. We support individuals not just to cope, but to create meaningful and sustainable change.
At Holistically Humanâ„¢ our practitioners and educators call upon skills rooted in their core training in modalities including (but not limited to) person-centred, psychodynamic, and somatic forms of therapy.
Holistically Humanâ„¢ operates as a collaborative network of skilled practitioners and educators.
Our hand-picked counsellors and therapists work alongside body, breath, and movement specialists to provide integrated, tailored support for each individual. Practitioners draw upon training rooted in modalities including (but not limited to):
Person-centred counselling
Psychodynamic therapy
Somatic and body-based approaches
Neurophysiology-informed practice
Breath and regulation techniques
Our movement and physical therapy partners also undertake bespoke training in whole-human therapy, becoming accredited Holistic Humansâ„¢ and working alongside our therapeutic team to support clients holistically.
Together, this network enables us to provide support that is responsive, evidence-based, and unique to each individual.
Our Approach: Whole-Human Therapy
Holistically Humanâ„¢ is built on the understanding that mental wellbeing and physical health are deeply interconnected. Drawing on the latest therapeutic practice, neuroscience, and medical research, we provide integrated support that addresses the whole person.
Rather than offering quick fixes or one-size-fits-all counselling, our work combines:
Proven psychotherapeutic methods
Mind–body and neurophysiology-informed practice
Breath, body, and nervous system regulation
Person-centred, tailored support plans
Our aim is to help clients reconnect with themselves and develop practical tools to regulate both mind and body — creating change that lasts beyond therapy sessions.
Why a Whole-Human Approach Matters
There is now a growing body of peer-reviewed scientific research demonstrating the clear connection between brain and body. As understanding of neuroscience and the nervous system develops, more individuals are seeking support that reflects this connection.
Traditional models of support do not always fully acknowledge this link. At Holistically Humanâ„¢, our work is grounded in the belief that effective therapy must consider:
Emotional and psychological wellbeing
Physical health and nervous system regulation
Environment, identity, and lived experience
Practical life skills and resilience
Long-term independence and self-understanding
By embracing both science and human experience, we support clients to heal deeply and build sustainable wellbeing.

Why our partners work with us
We understand the pressures. We see that clients are often signposted to services with long waiting lists offering short-term help within the parameters of a particular modality, i.e. CBT or person-centred.
And we know this is often a ‘band-aid approach’ which frequently sees clients returning again and again. So, we offer: Â
A whole-human approach to a complex situation – working with clients to ensure they have the resources, tools and relilience to take care of their own mental health.
An approach that’s been developed after a collective 100+ years of experience working within the mental health sector.
A commitment to donating 3% of fees to funding counselling for those unable to access for financial reasons – giving the gift of good mental health to a wider client base.
We believe the most effective support happens when professionals work collaboratively and treat people as whole human beings.
