Counsellor Profile

Jessica

A warm and experienced Integrated CBT therapist supporting adults, children, and young people with emotional wellbeing and life challenges.

About Jessica

support adults, children, and young people who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low in mood, or struggling to make sense of difficult experiences. People often come to therapy feeling stuck, emotionally exhausted, or unsure how to cope with changes in their lives, relationships, or sense of self. Many of the clients I work with are experiencing anxiety, stress, low confidence, or the impact of past or recent difficulties, including loss. Others may be finding it hard to manage emotions, thoughts, or behaviours that are affecting daily life. I offer a calm, supportive space where clients can feel listened to and understood, without pressure or judgement. My work is grounded in an integrative approach with both Counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I work alongside my client in a flexible and compassionate approach that is tailored to each individual. I aim to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, while also developing practical tools that can be used outside of sessions. I believe therapy should feel human, approachable, and empowering. My aim is to help clients feel more confident, supported, and equipped to navigate challenges both during therapy and beyond.

My Approach

Sessions with me are structured but flexible. We’ll talk about what’s been troubling you, explore patterns in thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and work together to develop practical strategies that fit into your everyday life. I regularly check in to ensure therapy feels helpful and supportive, and we move at a pace that feels right for you.

Holistic & Mind–Body Perspective

I believe emotional, physical, and psychological experiences are closely connected. Stress, anxiety, and low mood can show up in the body as well as the mind. Taking a holistic approach allows us to notice these connections and develop coping strategies that support overall well-being.

"It is completely normal to feel a bit nervous about starting therapy, but please know that there is no 'right' way to show up or a specific way you need to be. My goal is to provide a space where you can simply be yourself, without the pressure of having all the answers. Whatever you are carrying, we will take it one step at a time, at a pace that feels right for you."
