I believe that our emotional, physical and psychological experiences are deeply interlinked, each influencing the other. From personal experience of chronic health issues and hearing stories from my clients, I’ve seen how physical feelings have a direct impact on psychological wellbeing. When a client comes to me feeling distressed, I often begin by considering fundamental aspects such as movement, hydration, spending time outdoors, connecting with others, and sleep. It's common to find that one of these essential pillars may be lacking or out of balance. During our sessions, we explore bodily sensations together and take a holistic approach to understanding the relationship between mind and body. Growth and healing is a life-long process. Whilst we’re on the journey towards our full self, we sometimes need someone alongside us on that journey. But change and healing only comes when you are ready. Change can be done in stages, small or big. As a therapist I can support this journey at the pace you’re ready for. Taking the step into starting therapy and showing up for yourself is what helps clients change and heal.
During our sessions, we start by building a solid therapeutic relationship based on trust. From there, we move at your pace to discuss any challenges you may be facing. In sessions, I often reflect on and explore your feelings, bodily sensations, and patterns that might be keeping you feeling stuck.
