Counsellor / Supervisor Profile
I'm a fully qualified counsellor and supervisor registered with the BACP. In my work, I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space where my clients feel comfortable bringing their full selves to explore the life challenges they may be facing. I work with a variety of different clients with challenges ranging from attachment and relationship issues to depression and anxiety, low self-esteem, ADHD, work, family issues and trauma. Since everyone and our experiences are unique, I believe there is no one way to work with my clients. Instead, I take an integrative approach using a number of different counselling tools and techniques that I feel will work best with whatever you bring to our sessions together. These include a variety of humanistic therapies such as Psychodynamic, Person Centred and Gestalt, as well as Somatic and CBT practices if appropriate. Using this approach, we work together focussing on what you would like to bring to therapy each week, surfacing any past experiences and patterns of relating that may be causing or adding to the challenges you are facing today. The work together is centred wholeheartedly on you and your needs since no two situations or experience of them are ever the same. If you feel I would be able to help you and want to understand a bit more, then please drop me an email or call to arrange an initial 30 minute introduction session. If we agree we are a good fit we will organise our first counselling session, along with dates and times that work.Â
My approach is rooted in the belief that real wellbeing comes from looking at the whole person. Each of us is shaped by a unique mix of life experiences, relationships, beliefs and physical responses, so there can never be a single formula for therapy that works for everyone. Instead, I work in an integrative way, drawing on a range of counselling approaches and tools to best support whatever you bring to our sessions. This includes humanistic therapies such as Psychodynamic, Person-Centred and Gestalt, alongside somatic and CBT-informed practices where helpful. Bringing these approaches together allows us to explore not only what is happening in your life now, but also how past experiences, patterns of relating and the body’s responses may be influencing your present challenges. Our work together is collaborative and guided by you. Each session offers space to focus on what feels most important, at a pace that feels manageable and supportive. By taking a whole-human view — considering thoughts, emotions, experiences and physical responses — we can build a deeper understanding of what you are carrying and begin to find ways forward that feel authentic, meaningful and sustainable for you.
A whole-human approach to wellness sits at the heart of everything I do, because in my experience people are never just one thing. We are not just thoughts, or feelings, or behaviours to be “fixed” — we are a complex mix of experiences, relationships, physical responses and personal histories that all shape how we move through the world. When we focus on only one part of a person, we often miss what’s really going on underneath. Anxiety isn’t just in the mind; it can live in the body. Loss doesn’t just affect emotions; it can reshape identity. Stress at work can ripple into relationships, sleep, confidence and physical health. Looking at the whole person allows us to make sense of these connections, rather than trying to treat symptoms in isolation. I believe wellness comes from understanding ourselves more fully — how our past experiences influence our present, how our nervous systems respond to the world around us, and how our emotional and physical wellbeing are deeply connected. When we take a whole-human view, we create space for compassion instead of judgment, curiosity instead of criticism, and meaningful change instead of quick fixes. For me, this approach isn’t about striving for perfection or constant positivity. It’s about helping people feel more like themselves again — more grounded, more aware, and more able to navigate life in a way that feels authentic and sustainable. Because when every part of us is acknowledged and supported, real and lasting wellbeing becomes possible.
Working with me is a collaborative and down-to-earth experience. I offer a safe, supportive space where you can talk openly about whatever feels most important, without judgment or pressure. I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel daunting, so we move at a pace that feels right for you. Some sessions may focus on what’s happening in your life right now, while others might gently explore past experiences or patterns that continue to shape how you feel and respond today. As an integrative therapist, I tailor how we work to suit you as an individual. Drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches, I consider the whole person — your thoughts, emotions, experiences and physical responses — rather than looking at challenges in isolation. Together, we work towards a deeper understanding of yourself, building self-awareness and finding ways forward that feel authentic, manageable and supportive of your overall wellbeing.
